Overview
What is the Professionally Qualified Person (PQP) Card?
The Professionally Qualified Person (PQP) card is designed for people who are professionally qualified members of a CSCS-approved professional body and work in professional, technical or management-related roles within the construction industry.
Eligibility is based on holding current membership of an approved professional body at a membership grade accepted by CSCS. Approved organisations include professional bodies covering areas such as construction management, engineering, surveying, architecture, health and safety, project management and other construction-related professions.
To qualify, you must hold an eligible level of professional membership and pass either the CITB Managers and Professionals Health, Safety & Environment (MAP) Test or the accepted CIC Health and Safety Test.
The PQP card is valid for five years.

Requirements
What you need before we can apply for this card for you:
- Hold current membership of a CSCS-approved professional body
- Hold a membership grade that is accepted by CSCS for the PQP card
- Pass the CITB Managers and Professionals Health, Safety & Environment Test within the last two years, or an accepted CIC Health and Safety Test
- Provide evidence confirming your current professional membership and membership level
- Your membership evidence must relate to the current calendar year
- Valid photo ID
- A current membership certificate
- A membership card showing both sides
- A current letter or email from your professional body
- A receipt confirming payment of your current membership
- A clearly dated screenshot from your professional body's online membership portal or directory
- Your evidence should clearly show your professional body's name, membership level, membership number and that your membership is current.
