Which CSCS card do I need?
It depends on the job you do and the qualifications you hold. Most people new to site work start with the Green Labourer card. Tradespeople with an NVQ / SVQ Level 2 get the Blue card, Level 3 leads to Gold, and managers with a Level 5 to 7 management qualification get the Black card. Graduates and professionals may get a White card, and there are Red cards for apprentices, trainees and experienced workers who are still qualifying. Is the card finder free?

Are you CSCS or CITB?
No. We're an independent company that helps construction workers apply for cards, book tests and courses. We aren't CSCS, CITB or any card scheme. Card rules change from time to time, so always confirm with CSCS before applying; we're happy to check this for you.
Which CITB Health, Safety & Environment test should I take?
Most site workers take the Operatives test. Some specialist trades, such as demolition, plumbing or gas, highways, lifts and tunnelling, can take a Specialist test instead. Supervisors, managers and professionally qualified people take the Managers & Professionals test. Your result shows the level that goes with your card.
What if my job isn't in the list?
Choose “Can't find your job?” and tell us what you do. We'll call you back and confirm which card fits. We also use these searches to add missing jobs to the finder.
I'm an electrician, scaffolder or plant operator. Do I need a CSCS card?
Usually not a standard one. These jobs have their own card schemes that sites accept alongside CSCS cards: electricians usually hold an ECS card, scaffolders a CISRS card, and plant operators a CPCS or NPORS card. The finder will point you the right way, and we can help you apply.
How long does a CSCS card last?
Most cards last five years and can be renewed. The red cards for apprentices, trainees, experienced workers and new starters are temporary and can't be renewed, so they're a stepping stone to a permanent card.
