Cancellation & Refund Policy

This Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to services provided by UK Construction Support, a trading platform of UKCS Consulting Services Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”).
This policy explains when cancellations and refunds are possible and when they are not. Please read carefully before placing an order.
1. Our Role (Important Information)
UK Construction Support provides an application assistance, advisory and booking service.
We are not:
• the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS)
• the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB)
• a test centre
• a training provider
• an NVQ awarding body
We act only as an intermediary to help customers complete applications, course registrations and bookings with independent third-party organisations.
Any certificates, cards, tests, or qualifications are issued by those third-party bodies, not by us.
2. Immediate Start of Service & Cooling-Off Rights
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, customers normally have a 14-day cancellation (“cooling-off”) period for online purchases.
However, when placing an order you request us to begin work immediately. Our service involves:
• checking eligibility
• reviewing documents
• contacting providers
• submitting applications
• reserving test appointments
• registering training or NVQ enrolment
Because the service starts straight away, your right to cancel may end once we begin processing or submit your booking to a third-party organisation.
By placing an order and accepting our terms at checkout, you acknowledge and agree to immediate performance of the service.
3. When a Refund May Be Available
You may request a cancellation before any booking, registration, or application has been submitted to a third-party organisation.
In such cases, a partial refund may be issued (see Section 4 below regarding administrative service fees).
Refund requests must be made as soon as possible by contacting our support team.
4. Administrative & Platform Service Fee
When an order is placed, we immediately carry out administrative and advisory work. This includes reviewing your eligibility, preparing documentation, communicating with providers and processing your request.
A portion of your payment covers our service and operational costs, including:
• eligibility assessment and consultation
• document checking and verification
• application preparation
• communication with CSCS/CITB/training providers
• booking administration
• customer support
• payment gateway and merchant processing charges
If you cancel before any booking or registration is submitted, we may retain up to 20% of the total order value.
This amount represents payment for services already performed and operational transaction costs.
It is not a penalty charge.
5. No Refund After Third-Party Submission
Once we have submitted or secured any of the following:
• CITB test booking
• CSCS card application
• training course registration
• Level 1 Health & Safety course
• NVQ enrolment or assessment
the payment is transferred to the relevant third-party organisation.
At that stage, the funds are no longer held by us and refunds cannot be issued by UK Construction Support.
6. CITB Test Bookings
CITB tests are governed by CITB rules.
Generally:
• cancellations made at least 72 hours before the test may be eligible for change or refund (subject to CITB terms)
• cancellations within 72 hours or missed tests are normally non-refundable
We cannot override CITB policies.
7. CSCS Card Applications
CSCS application fees are paid directly to the CSCS scheme once submitted.
After submission:
• the application fee becomes non-refundable
• approval or rejection decisions are made solely by CSCS
If an application is rejected due to incorrect or incomplete information provided by the applicant, refunds are not available.
8. Level 1 Health & Safety Courses & Training
Course registration fees paid to training providers are non-refundable once:
• registration is completed
• login details are issued
• course materials are accessed
Accessing course materials during the cooling-off period is considered commencement of the service.
9. NVQ Qualifications
NVQ enrolment involves immediate registration with awarding organisations and assessors.
Once registered:
• the awarding body charges are applied
• fees become non-refundable
This applies even if you later decide not to continue the qualification.
10. Incorrect Information Provided
Refunds cannot be issued if delays, rejections, or additional costs occur because the customer:
• provides incorrect information
• submits invalid documentation
• selects the wrong card or qualification against advice
• fails to meet eligibility requirements
11. Changes and Rescheduling
Where permitted by the relevant provider, we will assist in rescheduling tests or courses.
Rescheduling is always subject to the rules of the issuing organisation and may involve additional charges.
12. Non-Attendance
No refund will be provided if a customer:
• misses a booked test
• fails to attend a course
• does not complete required steps within deadlines
13. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Before initiating a bank or card dispute, customers must contact us to resolve the issue.
Submitting a chargeback after services have been performed or bookings secured may result in:
• cancellation of services
• recovery action for unpaid service fees
• submission of documentation to the payment provider
We will provide evidence of customer consent, communications, and work performed.
